Renée Foy (writer/director) is a Chinese-Canadian filmmaker from Toronto, Canada, who has recently received her BFA in Film Studies from the Toronto Metropolitan University.
Renée works in various art forms and genres; her primary focus is in narrative filmmaking. Her work often explores the concepts of memory, family and exploration of personal experiences.
She believes that through the interactions between objects and spaces, it is possible to create moments that are deeply personal while simultaneously being a unique experience for each individual. Thus in allowing the viewer to interpret her art, the work transforms from a personal perspective to an exploration of universal truth.
